The teeth of both saws and V-cutters have slight land to give strength to the cutting edge. Saws are hollow-ground for clearance, V-cutters have ample radial relief. When Carbide Saws are used on other equipment than Martindale undercutters, steel supporting washers are recommended to reduce breakage.
